Elegance and Italian charme for this wedding inspiration shoot at Villa Ca’ Vendri

Today I am happy to share with you this wedding inspiration shoot at Villa Ca’ Vendri in Verona that I photographed last September with an extraordinary team of women. From an idea by Alessandra Bardazzi, wedding planner of Your Love wedding, this photoshoot was born with a very specific purpose: to inspire future couples and spread a touch of Italian beauty.

Villa Ca’ Vendri: a historic gem nestled in Valpantena

Villa Ca’ Vendri is located on a gentle slope of Valpantena in Verona. When you enter the property, you have the feeling of making a wonderful discovery; it’s a leap back in time to the 16th century, when the Villa was built, and what strikes the most is the peace and silence in which this place is immersed. The Villa is surrounded by a magnificent six-hectare park with a long avenue of cypresses, statues, water lily ponds, fountains, and other classical elements. The details of the main loggia and the garden immediately enchanted me, and I photographed them with care.

Wedding inspiration shoot at Villa Ca’ Vendri: romantic inspiration

According to Alessandra’s project, the shoot was divided into two parts with two different styles. First part includes the preparation of the couple inside the ancient hall of the Villa, the civil ceremony in front of the Roman colonnade, and finally some shots after the ceremony. The groom’s suit and the bride’s dress are linear and elegant with a romantic touch for the bride given by delicate flowers applied to the corset. The bouquet, shoes, and hairstyle completed this first bridal look.

Change of look for the couple after the ceremony: 1920s inspiration

Second part of the shoot included the arrival of the couple at the Villa with a vintage light blue car, reception and final dances. As the dress change, inspiration was the Italian style of the 1920s. A white tuxedo for the groom paired with a feathered slip dress for the bride gave a chic connotation to the photos. For this setting, I wanted to set some shots inside the villa with very direct light, to highlight the unique line of this wedding dress.

The table and minimal chic arrangements

A palette of neutral tones and light flowers completed a table setted into the frontal lodge with a minimal and carefully studied style. The fabric runners were customized by Alessandra’s calligraphy from Grafica per Matrimoni, as were the placeholders. For the flowers, Sara from Cosmea laboratorio fiorito mixed fresh stems with dried ones. A cloud of dried flowers was placed above the bridal table while the fresh flower arrangements for the tables flanked the long stem candles. In short, a lot of lightness and refinement with a deliberately modern line contrasting with the historic setting of the villa.

The team: eight creative women free to express themselves

I remember with great pleasure that day in the company of seven professionals who deeply inspired me. An incredible synergy was immediately created on set, all with the same purpose and the same desire to create beauty. For this, I will always be grateful to Alessandra for involving me in such a beautiful project and for bringing us all together in a magical place like Villa Cà Vendri.
