Villa la Selva: a rustic gem under the Tuscany sun

Villa La Selva is located in the heart of Tuscany, surrounded by the gentle hills of Valdambra, between Florence and Siena. Once owned by the noble Medici family, the villa still retains the charm of historic Tuscan residences, with its Italian-style garden, stone walls, and rustic interiors. A place steeped in history, offering breathtaking views of the Tuscan landscape—perfect for an elegant and enchanting celebration.

A moving ceremony with garden view at villa la selva

The most anticipated moment of the day took place in the villa’s Italian-style garden, a corner of beauty meticulously curated in every detail. Amid geometric hedges and centuries-old trees, Fabrice and Marlene exchanged their vows with deep emotion, surrounded by their families and closest friends. The soft spring light of the April afternoon added an extra touch of magic, making the ceremony even more enchanting.

The ethereal and delicate floral arrangements were designed by Le Petit Jardin in Italy. Planning and coordination were hosted by Chiara Viarisio.

Italian aperitivo between joy and lightness

After the “I do,” guests were welcomed into the villa’s ancient courtyard for a long aperitif filled with warmth and conviviality. With glasses of Tuscan wine and local food curated by Il sorriso catering, they toasted to the newlyweds in a relaxed and festive atmosphere. Couple photosession between amazing backgrounds and early spring flourish

For the couple’s photos, we took advantage of some of the most enchanting corners of the villa. The tree-lined avenue, also chosen as the backdrop for the group photos, created an intimate and cinematic atmosphere with its interplay of light and shadow. The garden with its balcony offered a breathtaking view of the Tuscan countryside, perfect for romantic and timeless shots.

Dinner time under the historic cellar

The reception took place inside the villa, in a hall featuring stunning stone vaults that created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Round tables, adorned with candles and pastel-toned flowers, welcomed the guests to a banquet filled with traditional Italian dishes. With heartfelt speeches adding to the moment, the evening unfolded with smiles, laughter, and toasts.

After dinner and the cake cutting, it was time to celebrate in the villa’s wine cellars.

Fabrice and Marlene’s destination wedding at Villa La Selva was a truly unique event, blending elegance, emotion, and the timeless charm of Tuscany. If you, too, dream of a wedding surrounded by history and nature, this villa is the perfect choice to celebrate your special day in a magical and refined atmosphere.
