When it comes to destination weddings, celebrations often begin even before the wedding day itself.
This destination wedding at Villa Rizzardi, near Verona, took shape the evening before with an intimate and beautiful welcome dinner. Everything was thoughtfully designed to welcome guests arriving from all over the world and to create a relaxed, warm atmosphere of connection.
Anna and Julius’ welcome dinner marked the first chapter of an elegant and emotional wedding weekend.

A warm welcome in Guerrieri Rizzardi, in the heart of Valpolicella
The evening took place in the inner courtyard of the Guerrieri Rizzardi wine shop, right next to the historic Villa Rizzardi, where the wedding would be celebrated the following day.
An intimate and charming space, immersed in the local wine-making tradition and bathed in the warm light of the late afternoon.
Guests were welcomed with an informal aperitivo, designed to encourage spontaneous conversations, smiles and the first shared emotions of the weekend.
Pasta and pizza show cooking: Italian conviviality without borders
At the heart of the welcome dinner was a live pasta and pizza show cooking, a true symbol of Italian conviviality.
A perfect choice for the couple, who live in Monaco, and for their guests coming from different parts of the world.
With Italian music playing in the background, glasses of wine in hand and informal tables, the evening unfolded with a light, joyful and carefree rhythm.
Yellow as the guiding thread: light, energy and ease
The yellow colour palette accompanied both the welcome dinner and the wedding day, becoming the visual thread of the entire wedding weekend.
A colour chosen to evoke lightness and energy, perfectly aligned with the couple’s spirit and with the sense of anticipation that precedes a wedding.
The floral arrangements by Il Fiore all’Occhiello created a beautiful contrast with the rustic atmosphere of the courtyard, offering a delicate preview of the beauty that would unfold the next day.
Emotional speeches and the anticipation of the big day
Throughout the evening, there were emotional speeches from family and friends — heartfelt words spoken over a glass of wine, among people connected by shared stories and deep bonds.
The atmosphere was filled with that unmistakable feeling of anticipation, the quiet excitement of knowing that something special was about to happen.

It is the moment when guests feel welcomed, involved and truly part of a story that is about to unfold.
The attention to details, the Italian food and the beauty of the setting created a unique experience for both the guests and the couple.
The most beautiful way to begin a wedding: together, with lightness, surrounded by loved ones and an atmosphere already filled with memories.
